Sisters and Twilight

I love watching my girls "play" together. They are so sweet to watch and you can really see the love they have for one another.

(I don't know why these photos are uploading like this, I didn't take them in this direction and they don't show up like that in my folder. Sorry!)

I have been so excited about the dvd release of Twilight. I saw it twice in the theater and really wanted to watch it again at home. The second time I saw the movie the characters had grown on me and I was able to replace my image of them from the book with the movie characters. Yesterday Travis came home with the Blu Ray dvd of Twilight for me. Of course I watched it during naptime. I really wanted to watch it again but Trav said that was a little much. Hmm... I don't think so. So instead, I got out book 1 to re-read. I miss reading those books!

Playtime

I love Spring weather and so do my girls!
Haylee enjoy's picking flowers and riding her bike!

Madi likes to sit in her bouncer and soak up the sun beside mommy!

Zoo Day

Last Wednesday we took a trip to the zoo. Aunt LaLa was in town for Spring Break and we decided to take Haylee and Briley, and of course the 2 little ones, to the zoo. It was a PERFECT day for the zoo, once we actually got there (the traffic was horrible). Here are some pictures of our day.

Quick Update

Things have been really busy with me returning to work, then having Spring Break, and having lots of visitors. So I thought I would post a few pics for now and will post more tomorrow.

Let's see...I returned to work on the 9th. Everything worked out great. I was sad leaving the girls but once I got to work things just fell back into place. Leaving Haylee after she was born was really hard. This time I didn't feel as sad leaving because I knew everything would be fine and I wouldn't miss everything, but since Haylee is talking she was able to tell me "mommy no go to work",that broke my heart. I wish I could stay with her everyday! Summer will be here before we know it!

Bedtime in our house is 8:00 for our girls. Everynight we do bath and have a little play time before bed. Then I sit with Haylee and rock for 2 minutes, just long enough to discuss our day and what is going on the following day. Next, it is Madi's turn. I swaddle her up and put her in the crib and turn on her mobile. Since the 10th Madi has been sleeping through the night. She has been waking up between 6:15-7:00. We are so thankful for this.

Last Saturday when Travis got home from work we hosted a small game night. Brandon, Chris (Brandon's brother), and 2 new friends, Kayla and Michelle , came over to play cards and Cranium. We had a great time hanging out at the house with friends.

This week Kristen and Dave came to visit with the twins. It was great to meet those 2 precious girls. Haylee LOVED her cousins. She wanted to hold the girls and enjoyed loving on them. (More picture from their visit will be posted later, I forgot my camera a couple of times.)

Today we took a trip to the Houston Zoo with Aunt La La, Grandmama, cousin Briley and Kayelyn. We had a great time and the weather was PERFECT! Zoo post to come later.

(Madi was having a great time! :o) He he!)

***Upcoming posts: Zoo, grandparents/great grandparents, 2 month well check up, more twin pictures, and daddy's brithday.***

The zoo wore me out so I am off to bed!

Are you kidding me??

Yesterday I was loading the girls up in the car to take Haylee to ride the carousel at Katy Mills Mall. I waved to my next door neighbor, who I see almost every other day... atleast, and he strikes up a very short conversation.
**** A conversation not to have with a woman who just had a baby ****
Me: "Hi neighbor (I won't share his name) , How are you? "

Neighbor: "Good. You give birth to baby?"

Me: "Yes, 6 weeks ago"

Neighbor: "Oh, I didn't notice"

Me: Ha Ha (courtesy laugh) I then get in my car.
Now I realize he probably meant that he just wasn't thinking about it the other 100 times he has seen me since having Madi. Not to mention I have had her in my hands those other 100 times.
He didn't notice???

About 2 weeks before delivery

I don't have a recent full length shot of myself, but I don't think I look as big as I did here and it is quite noticeable. Afterall, I have lost all of my pregnancy weight from Madi and I am working on the Haylee weight.

The flowers are blooming (a little advertisement)

A couple of weeks ago Melissa and I took the girls to our neighborhood park for a little Spring photo shoot. Here are some of the pictures she took.

One of the best things about having a sister in law who does photography is how she includes my girls in her shoots. So I get lots and lots of cute pictures. :o)

So...if you are in the Houston area and are looking for a WONDERFUL photographer, Melissa is your girl. Not only is she very reasonably priced, she will go to a location of your choice. Then she will edit your photo's and give you a high resolution cd for you to print your own pictures. They print out beautifully! Check out her website and take a look at her galleries.

6 weeks old and a chore for the hubby...

Yesterday Madi turned 6 weeks old! Time has flown bye! It is bittersweet with Madi turning 6 weeks. We are excited because her little personality is beginning to show. We are able to make her smile and are beginning to hear some little "coo's". On the other hand...I have to return to work on Monday. I am going to miss my girls so much! Part of me is ready to go back to school but the other part of me would LOVE to stay at home with the girls all of the time. I have been home since November 25. Haylee and I have had so much time together and I am thankful for it. We were really able to spend some quality one on one time before Madi arrived and after Madi's arrival I was able to include Haylee with Madi's needs. Tomorrow I am planning a special day for Haylee since it will be my last day home (for a week...Spring Break on the 16th).

"How many more pictures are you going to take Mom?"

-Trying to capture a smile on camera

Got one!

...and another!

OK...so I am sure you are wondering about the chore for hubby! Remember me saying that I was beginning a diet (I've lost 7 pounds so far) a couple of weeks a go? So I have been cooking every night of the week...BIG accomplishment. The other night I realized we didn't have light mayonaise for a recipe I was making. I quickly called Travis since I knew he would be home any minute and asked him if he would please stop for me. He called me from the little corner store and asked if miracle whip would be alright. I am not a mayo person so I said I guess and told him I only needed 1/4 cup. When he got home he put the miracle whip on the counter and then said "I went a little ghetto". This is what he pulled out of his pockets.

All I could do was laugh and grab my camera! Love you Trav! :o)

Well we have a busy next couple of weeks. Travis is finishing up a job and will continue to work the next couple of weekends. This weekend we will get a visit from Grandma O'Neill (my mom), Vicca, and Aunt Sarah, it will be her first time to meet Madi. Next week I will be back at work and the girls will return to Grandmama Brewer's (Travis' mom). The following week we will get to meet the twins, Addisyn and Audrey, and of course visit with Kristen and Dave. We will also get a visit from Great Grandpa and Grandma Glowacz. The last weekend of Spring Break Kelli (my college roomie) and Jeremy will be coming to visit.

In other great news Grandpa and Grandma Glowacz (my parents) sold their house and will be living less than 5 miles from us beginning this weekend. So we will be able to see them more often.

Things have been going great here in our household and we are looking forward to all of our upcoming plans and visitors!
