Dear Haylee,

Today you are three!

It is so hard to believe that you have blessed our lives for the past three years. Three years ago we didn't know love the way we do now. You have brought so much happiness and love into our lives and have taught us who we are as a family. Everyday is a new adventure. 99.9% of the time we are laughing and smiling with each other. We have so much fun together. Your intelligence and beauty never cease to amaze us. We are blown away at the things you say and the things you know without us teaching them to you. You are such a smartie! We love you more than you will ever know. The last 3 years have been the best years of our lives.

Love,

Daddy and Mommy

11 Months!

That is right! Madison is 11 months old!

What are you up to??

  • You eat everything
  • You can stand up from a sitting position without help and walk around furniture fast
  • You are a CLIMBER. You can climb up the stairs, on top of tables, out of walkers and high chairs...you can not be contained!
  • You took your first steps on your 11 month bday. Here is a video of her first few steps. The most you have taken since then is 8 steps in a row.

  • You say mama, dada, bottle, more, night-night, that, dog.
  • You have 5 teeth.
  • You wear size 3/4 diapers and size 9-12 month clothes.
  • You are in a big mama stage- you don't like being handed off.
  • If I say AWWW, you put your head on me and say it back.

We love you more and more everyday Madi! You keep us on our toes and make us smile so much. We are so blessed to have you and your sister in our lives.

It is hard to believe that you will be 1 next month!

Holiday baking with my girls!

Yesterday we did our annual holiday baking. Haylee really enjoyed it this year and is quite good at it! :o) Madi enjoyed watching us and tasting the dough.
First, you wash your hands!
Then you "pat" the dough.
"Pat, pat, pat!"
Next, press the cookie cutter in the dough.
We told Haylee that getting dirty when you cook means you are good at it!
I guess she is AMAZING! :o)
Even Macy worked hard.

Tiny Treasures Christmas Program and Party

On December 17 Haylee had her Christmas program and party at school. Here are a few pictures. Haylee had a little stage fright (it may have been all the cameras and people) but she did great. We are so proud of her.

Look at what this BIG girl did...

she got her ears pierced (and she didn't even cry, AT ALL).

Grandma's 80th Bday Party

Grandma and I share birthdays (11-15). My mom threw grandma a surprise 80th bday party on December 5. I took my grandma to see New Moon to help get her out of the house so that everyone else could prepare for her party.

Santa Round 2

Tuesday evening Travis and I took the girls to see Santa. We went this past weekend and had a picture taken with Aunt Victoria, but I felt like they needed to go again with their Christmas dresses.

Big girl Haylee we so excited to tell Santa she wanted a bike and a scooter. Madi was mad that I let someone else hold her. "Mama!"
"Who is this guy???'
"I want down!"

We are so amazed at how big Haylee is getting. She is growing up...too fast!
Next post, Santa Round 1 and Great Grandma's 80th Surprise party.

From the Mouth of Haylee

A few funnies from Haylee (before I forget)...

- "Shoot-cire" Haylee came home one day with a story about how Uncle Nathan says dab-nab-it and her daddy says shootfire. It was just too cute not to catch on. So now everyone says shoot-cire!

- " Dada, How was your day?" As soon as Travis walks in the door this is what your hear, without any prompting. (Melt my heart!)

- "Mama, you are a good cooker!" After taking her first bite of dinner. Everynight.

- While decorating the Christmas tree and seeing a picture of me when I was 2. " Mama, this is when you were a boy" No baby, I just had a really bad haircut!

- Walking down the stairs seeing my bridal portrait, " Mama, you used to be a princess!!"

-"YAY, its Christmas time we can put up our tree!" (2 days after Halloween in "Obby Obby" aka Hobby Lobby) No baby, we have to wait until after Thanksgiving. "Let's just do it mama!" We almost gave in.

-12:30 (AM) I hear singing coming from the baby monitor in Haylee's room. (She went to bed at 8:00) "We wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!" Singing at the top of her little lungs! I walked in and said Haylee, what are you doing??? She replied, I am ready to go to school now. Baby girl, it is still dark you need to go back to sleep. Needless to say, she didn't go back to sleep. She stayed up the rest of the night. WIDE awake!

Catch Up (AGAIN)

The weekend before Thanksgiving we were invited to go hunting at the YO Ranch. The whole family went! We also got to spend a lot of family time with Grandpa & Grandma Glowacz, Uncle Dave, Aunt Kristen and the twins. We had so much fun. Here are a few pictures.

This is where we stayed. Not your typical deer camp house! This place was AMAZING!

Grandpa and the grandkids (all in camo)
Trying to get 4 kids to look at the camera is hard work!
I joined Travis on the Saturday afternoon hunt. This was the only picture I was allowed to snap. :o) You have to be really quiet.
Sunday morning this is what Travis brought back.

An Axis Buck!

There is such a thing as Fall in Texas! The antlers mounted.

Madison turned 10 months old! She is still very much my baby! Madi cries when I hand her off to someone else. She is a mama's girl. Madi can stand on her own and really tries to get her legs going. She wants to take a step SO bad. Madi can wave. She still loves to eat...EVERYTHING! The only time she really cries is when she is hungry. She is a VERY happy baby. Madi adores her big sister. She can say dada, mama, more, and ball. Our little girl learns something new everyday. She is our little sponge.

Thanksgiving: I have no pictures from Thanksgiving! However, I have a lot to be thankful for this year. I have an amazing husband who works hard for us. I have 2 beautiful, smart children. I am lucky to have 3 sets of parents who are always there for me and my family. Without them I would not be who I am today. I have several siblings who I am grateful for. They are all unique and special in many ways. I have a wonderful job and work family. My life is good! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I am going to save my family pictures and Christmas decorating post for another day!
