Sick week...

Let's see...this all began last Tuesday evening! Haylee went to bed not feeling well. Travis and I knew she felt warm so we gave her some motrin and put her to bed. When Haylee woke up the next day she had a fever of 102. For the next 4 days she consistently ran a fever. Her highest got up to 105 (yes that high!) and her lowest of the "five day viral infection" was 101. We took Haylee to the doctor on Thursday after running a fever of 104 on Wednesday night. Apparently this viral infection is going around. The doc said there wasn't anything you could do but wait it out.

Haylee was on tylenol and motrin around the clock. He also said that when her temperature spikes up high to put her in the bath tub and if her temp doesn't break right away to take her to the ER. That evening after going to the doctor her temp spiked up to 105. It is so scary! After getting a bath her temp had dropped 3 degrees. Friday morning when she got up she looked more miserable then she had the whole week. Her sinus' were all messed up. Saturday was the first day that her fever broke. However she was still feeling really bad.

Sick girl!

Meanwhile, Melissa (Haylee's Aunt) had to be admitted into the hospital for some complications from her pregnancy. She is 31 weeks along with our new little niece Kayelyn. So, Briley came over Saturday night and had a slumber party with us. We pulled out the fold out bed downstairs and watched The Little Mermaid. We all had a good time.

The next morning when we got up Travis and I decided that we needed to take Haylee to the Urgent Care Center before her sinus infection turned into Bronchitis again. The doctor we saw was really good. He told us we came in at the right time. Another day and she would have probably had fluid in her lungs. She got an antibiotic and something to help her with the coughing at night! :o) So we are hoping that we all get a good night sleep tonight.

All clean! (Sunday night)

(It's hard to get two kids to look at the camera at the same time.)

We are looking forward to the next few days and having our little Haylee girl feeling well again. Oh yea...Haylee joined the "20 pound club" finally! :o)

We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Please keep Melissa and baby Kayelyn in your prayers. She needs to stay put for a few more weeks.

Weekend Recap

This weekend was the first weekend we have been home in a while! Travis helped one of our neighbors add on to their patio and Haylee and I relaxed at home for part of the morning on Saturday. Then Grandma and Grandpa O'Neill and Aunt Victoria came through town on their way to the airport. We were able to visit for a while and have a nice dinner at Hasta La Pasta (YUM).

Check out her little "curls"!

After dinner we came home and Haylee decided to read some books.
Here she is reading her Little Leaps Leap Pad. (She LOVES this thing)

On Sunday we spent most of our day around the house.

Haylee got some new markers and a coloring book. (Crayola Color Wonders...These are the BEST things ever! The markers only color on the Color Wonder paper)

Here is Haylee coloring in her book.

This is her first masterpiece!

And of course...the box was very interesting.
She played with it for half an hour before bed. Who knew??

This weekend was fairly uneventful. We hope everyone had a good weekend as well. We will post more later.

Joe-Joe's Wedding

This weekend was busy-busy. Here is a recap.

Friday night was the rehearsal. It started at the church and then we headed on over the the KC hall in Katy for a barbecue dinner that was SO good. Haylee had a good time playing with the other children and visiting with family. After rehearsal we came home and went to bed because we knew Saturday was going to be busy.

Saturday morning Travis got up and played in the annual gold tournament that we usually play. However, I had to have someone fill in for me because Grandma and Grandpa O'Neill and Aunt Vicca were in town. They got to visit with Haylee and then decided that they would watch her so Travis and I could enjoy the wedding without chasing around a toddler. Anyway, Travis had to be at the church by 1 for pictures. I met him at the church when the wedding was to begin. It was great service and both the bride and groom looked so happy. I just can't beleive that Joe is married!!

Joe is like a little brother to me. He is my brother Matt's best friend. There were times when it was hard to get through without crying because I kept thinking that Matt should be there. Joe and Carrie had a memory candle in Matt's honor. It was very thoughtful.

The reception was at Pine Forrest Country Club. We had such a good time. They served wonderful food and even had my favorite wine! This wedding had so many "new" ideas that I haven't seen before.

Like... The candy buffet!

Each guest got a little bag that said, "Love, Sweet Love". I thought this was so cute.

The cake was also different. I thought I took a picture, but I guess I didn't! Anyway, the groom's cake was a layer of cheesecake with a regular chocolate cake on top. All I can say is, YUMMY!

Here is the new Mr. and Mrs. cutting the wedding cake.

First Dance

My sister, Kristen the groom and myself! We love you Joe-Joe!

Travis and I enjoying our even without Haylee. (Thanks Mom!)

The last thing that I thought was unique was the departure. Instead of the usual rice or bubbles, Carrie and Joe left to the guests throwing feathers. It was cute. My feather pictures didn't show up very well. Sorry!

We are so happy for the bride and groom. They did a great job planning for this big day. It was a blast and we wish them the best of luck.

Here is a picture of Haylee and Daddy taking a nap on Sunday afternoon.
