Just turned 2 but she looks so grown up!

We took Haylee to her first Houston Rodeo. We surprised her with Sugarland tickets so she could hear her favorite song, Stuck Like Glue!

My class at school raised the most money for wildcat conservation. We won an extra field trip to the zoo to present the schools check. We were given a special presentation at the lion's den.

Back to the Blog

I am finally back! Aside from feeling guilty about not documenting for the girls the last few months, I decided that with the start of summer there was no better time to get back into it! I am not going to back track. I may put random posts here and there but for today I am starting with yesterday!

School is out! We started the summer break with a trip to the beach! I didn't take any pictures. We simply enjoyed each other's company and hung out at the beach most of the day! Both of the girls really enjoy being down there. They will play in the sand and in the water as long as you let them (or as long as there are snacks for Madi)!

Monday morning we came home to a busy day. Haylee had swim lessons and gymnastics followed by an early bedtime for everyone. Tuesday we spent the day making potty charts and chore charts! It's time to get this potty thing down. Madi is TERRIFIED of the potty. So, I am planning on staying home the next 3 days and doing nothing but encouraging her to go potty. I am crossing my fingers it works!

Snow Day

ARCTIC BLAST, that is what all the weather reporters were reporting. Snow was expected! We were all excited! Especially Haylee! We even got an extra day off of work for a SNOW DAY!

Well...we got the cold, cold temperatures and no snow! Instead we had ICE.

So we bundled up the girls to go outside and look at the ice. They weren't all that impressed but they did look pretty cute!

Madison Avery-

Today you are 2!! Not so much a baby anymore (you are still my Baby Madi though). Miss Independent is what you are. You like to do everything yourself. You want to be just like your big sister! Strong willed, you know what you want and you let everyone know! You are beautiful and smart. You aren't talking a lot yet but you want to! You are also such a sweet little cuddle bug. You love it sit in someone's laugh and talk. You aren't really into any TV shows or any particular toy, besides your baby dolls. (See picture below) You love your "nacks" and shoes.

You have been such a blessing to this family. You have a best friend in your sister and I love watching ya'lls relationship grow. You can see the love you have for one another in your eyes. It is so sweet.

Daddy and mommy are so proud of you and the child you are becoming. We love you more than you will ever know!

Where, oh where, has the time gone? You have grown up right in front of our eyes! You are such a beautiful, smart, little lady! You bring more joy into our lives than you will ever know.
Daddy and mommy are so proud of nice manners, kind heart, and love for others. Always be kind and follow that old Golden Rule.

We can't wait to see what the next year has in store for you! You are loved by SO many.
