Random

Today Madi is 4 weeks old. I only use the pacifier with her to keep her content a few extra minutes before it is time for her to eat.

My girls!

What do you eat the night before you start a diet??

My favorite dessert! Mmmm! And yes, I ate the WHOLE thing!
The diet started today. I only have a couple weeks before I have to be wearing my work clothes and a few months before Summer vacation!

Grandma Jackie gave Haylee a cute little bunny rabbit that sings Jesus Loves Me. Haylee likes to sing along with different songs and toys that play music. Here she is singing Jesus Loves Me. (You may not be able to hear all of the words, but you definitly hear the inflections on her voice.) I love when little kids sing! So cute!

Pull Ups

So... we are not pushing the potty training, but we are definitely encouraging it with Haylee. We ask her frequently if she needs to go, we talk about it all of the time, we have a reward chart, we celebrate with a happy dance, we have big girl panties, and we wear pull ups sometimes when she is going through a phase when she wants to use the big girl potty.

Huggies Pull Ups
(For those who do not know)
They come in different sizes and have two different prints on them.

Obviously Huggies tried to make the princess pull ups appeal to the girls and the cars print appeal to the boys.

So, which one does my little girly, girl princess choose??

Whatever gives her the incentive to use the "big girl" potty!

She is still mommy's little princess!

Happy Valentine's Day

Travis spent the day helping his dad at the beach house. When he arrived home I had a yummy dinner ready to eat. I finally broke out the china after 4 1/2 years of marriage. We all had a good time and enjoyed spending time together. Here are a few pictures of our meal.

Our table setting!

Main Course- Linguine with Shrimp Scampi by Ina Garten (The Barefoot Contessa)

Dessert- Red Velvet Heart Cake with Cream Cheese icing. Don't you love my presentation??

One of my cricut creations! I love this machine (the Cricut).

Here is a silly video from our evening. I wanted to be sure and capture the moment! :o)

We hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day! We wouldn't trade ours for anything in the world...even with crying babies! :o)

When your toddler is super quiet...

you know she is up to something!
Yesterday evening I was in the kitchen cooking dinner, Madi was in her bouncer, and Haylee was running around playing. I noticed it was pretty quiet in the living room and called out to Haylee. Usually she will answer me, but this time there was no answer. I walked into the living room and this is what I saw...

Haylee decided she wanted to wash her hair with lotion! Travis was outside watering the yard, so he came in to finish dinner while I quickly gave Haylee a bath! What a silly girl!

Here are a few past pictures of Haylee "quietly" getting into trouble! LOL!

Due Date

This past Wednesday was Miss Madi's due date. She turned 3 weeks old on that day. Here is a picture I took of her sleeping that day!

She is getting big! Look at those chubby cheeks. Like I have said before...She loves to eat. We must be going through a 3 week growth spurt.

What a cutie! We are so glad she is here and healthy! What a blessing it is to have two precious little girls!

Binkie Blues

Haylee doesn't have a blanket or animal she is attached to, she has a binkie. I shouldn't say "a" binkie she has many binkie's...

...that is not counting the ones that are upstairs right now in her bed, in my car, purse, or daddy's car! She LOVES the binkie!

Travis and I both know that it is time to get rid of that awful thing (things). We have several reasons why...
  1. She is 2.
  2. The doctor said it will help her breathe better.
  3. It will help her speak clearer and everyone will be able to understand her. (Lots of people think she is not speaking English.)
  4. It might eliminate some future dental costs. (unfortunately she may be doomed with my dental genes, but we can hope)

We also have one reason why it is so hard not to get rid of it...

It is TOO EASY to hand it to her when she is frustrated! Just look at this face...

Where did she learn the pouty face??? It's a good one!

I have one more month off of work and I am determined to get rid of it! I need help! Ideas, words of encouragement and suggestions are all welcome!

Pictures...updates

Things have been super busy with visitors and trying to adjust to our new routines. Haylee is a super sweet big sister, but we knew she would be. Here are a few pictures...enjoy!

Madi's two week stats:

Weight- 6 pounds 14 ounces

Length- 19 1/4 inches

Sisterly Love!

"I am so hungry I am going to eat my hand!"
Madi definetly LOVES to eat!

Pretty Girl!

Madison loves to swing! Who wouldn't? Look how comfy it looks!

Haylee was trying to get sick on us, but we added an extra nebulizer treatment and some extra medicine and caught it in time! She likes us to read to her or she likes to play her V Smile (which is really an awesome toy) while she does her treatments.

Haylee thought her baby (who is now named baby Madi) also needed a nebulizer treatment.

Hopefully I will have time to post more this week, but if not...
Happy Valentine's Day!

Sorry Missy, meant to put... pictures taken by Melissa Brewer. Check her out! ;o)
